Q: Do I really need compression sleeves/ products?

If your limbs or joints suffer from aches and pains, tiredness, or swelling, compression therapy can certainly help. It doesn’t matter if these symptoms are felt due to a pre-existing condition or because of overexertion, the gradual compression that sleeves offer help improve blood flow to the affected area to manage the said symptoms.

Q: What do compression sleeves do?

Compression sleeves and garments deliver gentle pressure to the tissue of the affected area. This compression helps remove excess fluid that causes swelling, and helps with blood flow and circulation. These ultimately aid in reducing aches, pains and that heavy, tired feeling on joints.

Q: Is there any reason why someone SHOULD NOT wear compression garments?

Compression garments and sleeves are generally very safe to use. But when in doubt, you can always consult a trusted physician or get in touch with us to make sure. Keep in mind that there are certain conditions such as uncontrolled congestive heart failure, ischemia, skin infections, allergies and immobility that might prevent people from using compression garments.

Q: Are they supposed to be hard to put on?

Not necessarily. They are meant to be tight because the sleeves and gloves are designed to deliver a certain amount of pressure, but the circumference of the garment, especially its edges, are not supposed to dig into the skin. It should also definitely not diminish your ability to move the affected limb.

Q: What does the copper do?

We infuse our products with copper because of its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. With daily and constant use, we wanted to be able to provide an easily solution that will allow you to use our products consistently.

Q: Can I layer my compression garments?

That depends. In a lot of cases, wearing one sleeve or glove on top of the other is recommended following physician advice. While it does offer additional compression, it is important that you consult your doctor before you do.

Q: How long before I see or feel the benefits and results?

This will vary from person to person. Some notice a significant improvement in their symptoms within a few hours from wearing our product. Others see a gradual improvement through consistent use across several weeks.

We recommend wearing your compression sleeve as often as you can during hours when you are awake. If you’d like to wear them while you sleep, please consult with your physician.

Q: How long do compression products last and how do I care for them?

Our products are machine washable (cold water and gentle cycle). But to extend the life of our products, hand washing them is also a good idea. Remove excess water, reshape and lay flat to dry is best. Avoid putting it in the dryer as the heat can damage the delicate fabric.

Q: Are there side effects I should be wary of?

Side effects are rare, but if you do notice symptoms such as itching or rashes, be sure to discontinue use immediately and consult with your doctor.
